A residential break-in and theft was reported in Farrarmere on 7 July 2026. Suspects forced the gate motor and a rear security gate to enter the home; the resident was inside and was not harmed. Household items were stolen and SAPS attended the scene.
On the afternoon of 7 July 2026, CMS responded to a report of a break-in in progress at a residential property in Farrarmere, received via the community radio network. Response officers attended the scene.
What happened
Suspects gained access by breaking the lock on the gate motor and opening the main gate, then forced a rear security gate to enter the house. The resident was home at the time, moved to a bedroom and locked the door — and was not harmed. It could not be confirmed whether the suspects were armed. Parts of the house were ransacked, and the suspects left in a black Toyota.
