CMS attended an after-hours burglary at business premises in Boksburg on 28 June. Tools and stock were removed; the matter is under investigation.
What happened
On the evening of Saturday 28 June, the CMS control room received an alarm activation from business premises in the Boksburg industrial area. The responding officer found a rear roller door forced and the premises entered. Power tools and stock were removed from the workshop floor.
CMS response
The premises were secured and the keyholder contacted per site instructions. CMS remained on scene until the keyholder arrived, and CCTV footage from the premises has been provided to SAPS, where the matter is under investigation.
Community guidance
Business owners are reminded that after-hours risk concentrates on secondary entrances — rear roller doors, delivery gates, and yard access. Slam-lock reinforcement and beam coverage of the yard significantly reduce both entry success and time on site.
